HELLO!
I'm Ryan.
I do a lot of things.
This is my place (finally!) to bring them all together.
I'm a designer who works primarily in pageantry--in other words, marching band, color guard, and their various sister activities. Pageantry is a wonderful blend of music and motion; for an artist who loves music as much as the visual arts, it's practically heaven. I'm lucky; I do work on both sides of the equation.
Take a look at what I can do for you!
As a visual designer,
- I plan and create custom drill designs for marching bands, indoor drumlines and wind ensembles, and color guards.
- I choreograph phrases of dance and movement to enhance the performances.
- I work as a program coordinator to clarify and elevate the creative standards and entertainment value of my client groups.
I also have graphic design and traditional media skills, which augment the above in the creation of uniforms, props, floor tarps, and flags.
As a music designer,
- I pace out and arrange chosen source music to fit the creative and logistical demands of ensembles of any size.
- I compose original music.
- I create electronic soundscapes and samples to enhance the aesthetic of the musical program.
- I edit and create soundtracks for color guards and dance ensembles.
